Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 4 - The B'orgy

hi Boothies,

Long time no blog. We've been busy boothing due to our winter sale and some charity and sponsorship events keeping us busy. So we thought we would do another update on the list of most popular booth poses for our fans. This is one of our favourites.

As you know (because we always brag about it) our booths are pretty small. They are 95cm by 75cm in foot print and can fit through your average doorway. They also don't take up heaps of precious floor space at your venue ... ok I digress to bragging again, this is a problem!

Soooooo anyway you wouldn't expect that we can fit that many people in such a small space. You should however never discount the persistence of a group of booth junkies. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it right, and even then the results are sometimes sketchy but they are always fun, and having fun in our booths is what it is all about right?

Ladies and gentleman, coming in at number 4 on the most popular photo booth poses countdown is something we like to call the B'orgy ... this involves nothing more than cramming as many people (and identifiable faces or body parts) into our booth as possible.

How many people does it take to make it a B'orgy? Well we reckon Four is pretty good like the guys here on the left hand side.

Five is seriously is impressive,

Six is even better

And these guys must be uni students just to work out how to get Seven into the booth, even if one person is flashing little more than just tongue;

So that's it for your introduction to the B'orgy. there are more images as usual on the Musiq Entertainment facebook page.

We hereby issue a challenge to all boothies to see if you can beat 7 in the booth. We'll have some sort of prize for the person who sends us a picture of 8 in the booth, provided all 8 people can be tagged on out facebook page.

Of course to do that you will need to hire one of our booths for your event.

Bye for now boothies, more updated coming later on!

Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 5 - The Cheekiss

Hi Boothies,

As promised we are continuing with the countdown of our most popular booth poses as promised earlier today. It may have been a while since our last popular booth related post but the content is still similar. You see the booth is still all about love.

Sometimes the type of love you want to express isn't the passionate type that we saw with the sixth most popular pose. Sometimes you just want to show a little bit of affection, something nice and simple and something that we here at photoboothME agree looks great in a booth capture. We call this pose the Cheekiss.

There are several types of Cheekiss.

1 - The simple Cheekiss. This is a simple yet effective peck on the cheek of your booth partner. Sometimes it is the prelude or sequel to a passionate pose. Sometimes its just after a couple of other fun pics.

2 - The double Cheekiss. This can only happen as part of a booth threesome. The lucky person in the middle of the booth gets a kiss from their flanking boothies. We love this one in particular because you sometimes get a great smile out of the lucky guy or girl!

3 - The Cheekissback. This is when the receiver of the first cheek kiss returns the favour immediately after in the next photo.

As per usual don't forget to check out our facebook gallery for some more cheekisses!

If this is the first Popular booth post of ours you have read you can go back to the beginning when we introduced the concept and click through all the posts as we have linked them all up now!

That's it for now peoples, time to get some zzzzzz's hopefully we can do number 4 for you tomorrow!

Free logo's on your photo strips

Hi Boothies,

Just a quick post on providing us with logos for your events. We are having an increasing amount of clients that are using their 4th photo on each strip as a logo. Of course here at photoboothme we don't charge you anything for this option, you can add this option to your booth booking at any time should you decide.

We offer three methods for you to ensure your logo is exactly what you would like.

1 - Choose one of the designs from our templates and we'll just add in the text you like. Click here to ask Natasha about our templates, we'll email you one.

2 - Provide us with a picture and/or a description of what you want the logo to look like and we will make the logo for you. Keep in mind our logos have a 4:3 aspect ratio (width to height) and the final size of the logo on your strip is 48 x 36mm when considering the photo and text you would like to include.

3 - Provide us with a completed logo ready to go (for people who are handy with design software and want to have full control of the logo)

For our advanced users, the logo is actually a jpg or bitmap file (depending on which booth we will use at your event) of size 800 x 600 pixels and a resolution of 72dpi.

You can see many examples of logos in our facebook albums.

Bye for now

As always don't forget;
- Like Musiq Entertainment on Facebook
- Follow photoboothme on Twitter
- Check out our website for our prices, free events where you can check out our booths and of course our special offers

Online Photo Galleries, Immediately after we pick up your booth!

Hi Boothies,

We love feedback from our clients, and one thing that has come up time and time again is "I can't wait to see my DVD with all the photos from the night." Unfortunately with events that fall on a Friday or Saturday the DVD's can't be send until Monday meaning that most people get them on the Wednesday which is up to FIVE FULL DAYS after the event.

Never fear we now have some solutions.

Now we have our new website up the IT monkeys are on holidays. As soon as we get them back though we are going to be working on private online galleries for photo booth events that will be uploaded merely hours after the event. Each client will get a log in that they will share with their guests who will then be able to log in, see and download all the photo's from the event.

However since this is a way off, we don't want our current clients to miss out we are offering free of charge to upload the photo's from each clients event to our facebook page for you as soon as we have downloaded them from the booth. If we are picking up the booth straight after your event this could be only hours after your last photo was taken. Sometimes however the booth's have a little sleep over at the venue which means we can get them up the next day.

Click here for an example of what it will look like.

Just a few quick points on how this will work.
- If you do not wish the photos to be in the public domain on Facebook under your name and a description of the event that is ok, we won't upload them.
- Yes you and your friends can comment and tag each other on the photos if you like.
- We will email you a link as soon as they are up. We'd also recommend becoming a fan of Musiq Entertainment on Facebook. As the photos will automatically come up in your feed.
- Yes we will have to censor some of the naughty ones if there are any. We can't have them on Facebook.
- We will still send you an uncensored DVD in the mail.

If you want your photos up on Facebook as soon as we can just let us know before you event.

Happy boothing everyone!

EDS Benefit Night

Hi Boothies,

Just a quick post tonight in order to make everyone aware of the Emma De Silva foundation. Emma and her newborn baby were injured in an accident in March and is still yet to regain conciousness.

You can find out more information here and a great way to help would be to come along and say hi to us and our photo booths at the benefit night.

We have a few more charity events coming up, as well as some other public events where you can jump in our booths and create some memories. We'll update everyone on our blog in the future.

UPDATE! WHAT A LOVELY NIGHT

We'll its the day after the benefit today and what a night it was. Almost 200 people turned up for the night. Big shout outs to everybody that attended as well as the fantastic staff at The Coffee Club Nepean who all donated their time for the evening. Not only that they put on quite a show, the service and food was exceptional and that is coming from people who attend this shindigs all the time.

Everyone involved with the organisation of the event should be commended. Plenty of entertaining ways to raise money were used, the auction gifts both silent and live were fantastic and the speeches both humorous and heart touching.

Plenty of people had fun in the photo booths, and we must say that the guest book that everybody prepared for Emma was by far the best presented guest book we have ever come across. Jam packed full of awesome photos and beautifully written messages.

We know that when you usually have at least 2 and sometimes jam 5 or 6 people into a photo booth it takes a lot to give up one of your copies but I am sure that Emma and Eloise will cherish the guest book for many years to come. We have put all the photo's from both photo booths online for everyone to view. Go to the Musiq Entertainment facebook page. Click like and you'll see the two albums. You can even tag your friends!

Lastly and most importantly it was great to hear that Emma is doing much better. Awake, moving around and judging from the stories from her family and friends on the night recognising people. It was great to meet everyone and get to know a few of you.

On behalf of all the DJ's photo booth attendants and of course our Photo Booths 'Talia' and 'Sonny' we wish Emma and her family all the best in her recovery.

Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 7 - Sign Language

Hi Boothies,

We had a busy week with birthday parties, weddings and an x-box game launch that we got to attend so its been a while since our last update on popular booth poses.

Up next on our list of popular booth poses is one we like to call "Sign Language." We define this pose type as any attempt to communicate with the viewer through your photo strip. It might be sweet, it might be rude or in some cases it might be both.

As usual don't forget to check out the rest of our boothies trying to communicate with you using sign language on the Musiq Entertainment facebook page.

Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 8 - I Love You

Hi Boothies,

In continuing our series on the most popular photo booth pics we would like to express our feelings towards everyone who has taken a fun photo in our booths. We are feeling all warm and fuzzy right now and would just like to say .... We Love You!

Thank you for bringing joy, laughter, shock and some cringing to our humble little office. One of our most favourite parts of an event is when we sit down immediately after it (usually at around 2am whilst scoffing Maccas, pies or something as equally fattening) and flick through the soft copy of pictures before burning them onto DVD.

Coming in at number 8 on our most popular booth pics countdown is a little something we call 'I Love You.'

Don't forget to show the love for PhotoboothME and Musiq Entertainment on our facebook page where of course you will see many more examples of our boothies showing love for their special someone.

Remember to contact photoboothME to have a booth full of fun at your next event.

Sylvan Glen - the oldest guesthouse in the Southern Highlands

We went for a drive (2 hours from Sydney) on Saturday to the oldest guesthouse in the Southern Highlands to help celebrate the wedding of Toby and Carla. We are always willing to travel near and far, to get the party started.

Not to brag or anything, but we were the stars of the show. Even the very beautiful bride couldn't let us go.

A big thank you to the lovely Jo, for capturing these moments.

Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 9 - The Picnic

Hi Boothies,

Once of the best bonding exercises you could ever do is go for a picnic. Whether it is a romantic picnic with that special person in your life, or a family picnic with three generations of your family all sharing food from the same basket. There is no TV, no cooking and no other room for people to hide. Its just you and your picnic partners, the perfect environment to bond.

Here at photoboothME we love picnics for these reasons and more. Evidently so do many of the people who jump into our booths.

Coming in at number 9 in the countdown of most popular booth poses we present to you; The "Picnic."

Don't forget to check out more examples of Picnicking in our booths on Musiq Entertainments Facebook page;

Animation Characters in our Photo Booth

Hi Boothies,

So last night we had a job for a birthday party which is pretty standard. You come to expect the usual. Some fantastic photos of friends and family of the birthday people having fun in our booth. However upon collecting the digital copies from the booth last night to burn the DVD for the birthday girl we were surprised with some fantastic costumes.

Since we weren't aware of the theme we aren't quite sure exactly what it was but we are guessing it was something to do with animation or comic book characters.

Check out our facebook gallery of some of our favourite photos and let us know what you think the theme is.

In other news yesterday was also the day we got to see for the first time the layout of our new website. We just need to do a couple of tweaks to the content and we will be ready to go live.

By for now, happy boothing. We'll have some more of our top 10 most common photo booth poses uploaded soon as well!

Most Popular Booth Poses - Number 10 - It's always sunny in a photoboothME booth

hi Boothies,

We've been getting post happy lately.

An ex once accused me of thinking that the sun shined out of my own bum, which I think was a little harsh. I always thought she was wrong too. Now I have proof. I know where the sun shines out of. The sun shines our of a photoboothME photo booth!

Coming in at number 10 on our countdown of the most popular poses in our photo booths is the pose we like to call "Its always sunny in a photoboothME photo booth." That's right ladies and gentleman it is a little known fact that the sun does shine inside out photobooth. Even inside, at night as some of these lovely boothies show us.

For more examples don't forget to check out the album on facebook.

Finally an actual fact about our photo booths.
Q. Why don't we see a million photos of people with their eyes closed due to the flash in our booth?
A. Well apart from these guys wearing sunnies it is actually because our booths don't actually flash. They are well lit with fluorescent globes but not so bright to be harsh to your eyes. Our camera also has a relatively slow shutter speed. Which brings us to our tip of the day;

TIP OF THE DAY
Keep still in the photo booth. Its fun to think of 4 totally different poses on our photo booths unlike some attendees but its also important to stay still when the lady with the Spanish accent counting back from 5 gets to 1 otherwise this happens ...

Now finally don't start expecting daily updates with Q and A's and hot booth tips and the like all the time. We are actually super busy the next fee weeks due to our winter sale

Click here for Number Nine in the countdown

bye for now from all of us at photoboothME

Popular photo booth poses

Hi Everyone,

Over the next few weeks we will be revealing the most common photo booth poses. We'll reveal them one by one as we count down the top 10. You may be surprised what we have discovered is the most common. I know we are.

For today we are going to give you a little teaser with the honourable mentions.

The first one we like to call "The Strippers." Now before you go and hide this from any children and give us an R rating its not what you think. We gave this name to people that we see using their photo strips from previous sessions in the booth as props.

Here are some of our favourites,

See more stripper pics in our facebook gallery

The other honourable mention goes to a category we like to call "Reflection". You see some people like to pimp their product, or just want to tell someone how they feel but don't realise our booths are just like a mirror.

See more on facebook.

Don't forget to like us on face book and tag a friend if you can find one!

Next post will be getting stuck into the top 10!

And of course click here to head to our main site and book a photo booth for your next event

Where we've been playing.....

Firstly, apologies for neglecting the very high amount of followers reading this blog... I hope you didn't miss us too much.

We, here at PhotoboothME have been extremely busy lately. We've had quite a bit on...

Firstly, we appeared at Castle Towers in time for Valentines Day.... where lovers, friends, strangers, sole operators and a vivacious security guard (see below) got behind our black curtains and posed for us.

Here is our booth with some awesome Castle Towers branding....

Secondly, we also went along to a number of university orientation weeks to help celebrate the launch of the very funny movie, Hall Pass with Owen Wilson.

For the grand finale of a busy week strutting our stuff at various uni's, we were lucky enough to be invited to the Sydney Entertainment Quarter's premiere of Hall Pass.

Unfortunately, though he was in attendance, Owen Wilson did not get into our booth "Sonny", but he walked past it and gave an approving look, which is sorta the same thing. So, if you ever take some snaps in our booth Sonny, you are virtually brushing with fame.

This is Sonny and his cousin "Shots in a Box" from Orange, all decked out in some Hall Pass branding on the red carpet.

Lastly, we've also been going along to loads of weddings and birthdays. One particular venue, Ravensthorpe in Albion Park, NSW looked like it was built especially for us! Here is a picture of our booth “Talia” sitting around at Ravensthorpe, waiting to party like it's 1999 (Congratulations to the newlyweds Kristy and James).

All in all, we've been very busy. No excuse for not writing to you though, so we promise to try harder in future.

If you are lost and need to get back onto our website.... here's the link!

Monday night festivities (and stupidity)

It's Monday night and we were bored at home and wanted to have a play on our booths.... so we decided to attack the hill again and bring one up into our unit. Not smart, and something we won't try again. Every resident of our building heard us colourfully debating the best way to get the booth through a very narrow doorway and into a very narrow (and mirrored) elevator. The young guy that lives underneath us (that I may or may not have a slight crush on) wanted us to bring the booth over to his place in exchange for a few beers and a bbq with his mates. Unfortunately, as my hand was getting crushed at the time, we politely declined.

It was a logistical nightmare, but we did it without a scratch (to both the booth and the mirrors should anyone from the strata committee be reading this) And despite the scathing commentary, we agreed we worked well as a team of booth removalists.

Additionally, I found it worthy to note the spare bedroom that I spent all weekend changing into a comfortable guest room, is now home to a tower of guest books.

Delivery Day!!!

So I found some photos on the camera from one big hunk of a delivery.

I had the luxury of watching Rupert pack them into the trailer from my ivory tower. You would think from this first lesson, we would have learnt not to load them whilst on a hill.... yet we still try to defy this simple law of gravity daily to no avail. Nevertheless we have both cancelled our gym memberships and are getting stronger by the second.
